Our Current Openings:

Program Director

MA/MS in social science/behavioral health field; with MCAP; or current Florida state RN license; Certification from CBAPF or equivalent preferred AEB copy of license, diploma and primary transcript.

At least two years experience working with specialty population (i.e., substance dependent individuals) in inpatient, outpatient, detoxification substance abuse treatment facilities, whether free-standing or existing as part of a broader mental health treatment facility; MAT and OTP experience preferred. At least two years Supervisory experience, especially clinical supervisory experience preferred AEB resume or application, interview and verifiable, positive references.

Typical Job Tasks and Characteristics:

  • Provides clinical supervision of nursing and clerical personnel by periodically observing their performance.
  • Acts as liaison with Medical Director and Consultant Pharmacist.
  • Acts as Patient Advocate for rights issues/complaints.
  • Ensures that all medical charts are accurately maintained and that information is entered in a timely fashion by conducting supervisory reviews of those charts based on recommendations made by the Clinical Director.
  • Reviews clinical records of all new admissions for completeness.
  • Schedules and arranges in-service education for staff in conjunction with the Clinical Director.
  • Chairs All-Staff Meetings.
  • Assigns work schedules, assignments and tasks; amends schedules and assignments as necessary to reflect the changing needs of a client-centered work place.
  • Maintains written referral agreements for any services provided in-house by other agencies as well as initiating no-cost referral agreements between CFTC and other community agencies.
  • Provides day to day operations management of the program and staff at CFTC.
  • Responsible for management of the environment of care, including cleanliness, housekeeping, safety, security, hazardous materials, maintenance.
  • Responsible for infection control program.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures as defined by the Regional Director and CEO.
  • Responsible for coordinating and directing the Performance Improvement Program.

Medical Director

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Acts as attending physician for all clients at CFTC.
  • Completes initial drug and physical health history and physical examination for all new admissions; annual assessments, as required, on long-term clients; and determines client’s appropriateness for admission.
  • Titrates initial methadone dosages and stabilizes client on methadone.
  • Approves or disapproves all take-home requests and all client phase changes.
  • Reviews each client’s treatment plan annually or as needed.
  • Provides medical guidance to the Program Director and to nursing staff in areas of medication.
  • Remains available on-call 24 hours per day.
  • Consults with counselors in All-Staff meetings and as otherwise needed.
  • Provides day to day medical management program.

LPN

Position requirements:

  • LPN: current and valid lic.
  • Substance abuse setting experience a plus but not required.

Position responsibilities:

  • Accurate and computerized medication dispensing
  • Attention to detail
  • Medication & supplies inventory maintenance
  • Record keeping and documentation maintenance, to include but is not limited to:
    Lab requisitions; physician orders; monthly dosing records
  • Conduct medical screen on all new intakes
  • TB test administration
  • Communication: electronic, verbal, & written transcription
  • Reporting & Distribution: generate monthly dosing records and distribute to counselors
  • Cross-departmental collaboration: Behavioral (Counselors), Corporate, Nursing, Management, Physicians, Sister clinics

Substance Abuse Counselor

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a minimal client caseload at the level required by CFTC.
  • Completes all admission documents, psychosocial assessments (Master’s degree required for Medicaid billable assessments), integrated summaries and treatment plans in a timely and complete fashion as required in CFTC policies and procedures; includes obtaining necessary photographs for the pharmacy and the Central Registry.
  • Collects urine drug screen samples from clients according to CFTC policies and procedures.
  • Performs with individual caseload clients in the frequencies required by client phase as described in CFTC policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regulatory boundaries required of clients, e.g., compliance with take-home requirements, fee requirements and so on.
  • Maintain broad knowledge of caseload clients regarding their lives, including living arrangements, housing needs, employment, court and legal affairs, social functioning, health issues and any personal or social problems.
  • Document progress in treatment fully and in compliance with CFTC policies and procedures, including revising treatment plan as progress indicate the need.
  • Identifies needs for referral to other service providers and facilitates linkage to those services; includes advocacy activities as required.

Physician Assistant

Florida Medicaid number or Medicaid eligible,
Substance abuse setting experience a plus but not required.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Act as assistant to clinical Medical Director or clinic’s Physician.
  • Complete initial drug and physical health history; physical examination for all new admissions; annual assessments as required according to CFTC policies; and determine client screenings prior to admissions.
  • Maintain on-call availability
  • Provide day-to-day management of the program under the supervision of the Medical Director
